Psalm 53:
Only fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! Good looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn't think of praying to God. Terror will grip them, terror like they have never known before. God will scatter the bones of your enemies. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them. Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When God restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.
We live in a time now like David was in here. There are so many surrounding us who don't believe in God. They feel they have no need of Him, though in their hearts they know He is near. They can feel Him pulling at their heart strings.
But like David we ask: "Will those who do evil never learn?" I can't imagine how it will be to be rejected by God. Makes me sad to know there will be people in this world who will come to know exactly how this feels due to the hardness of their hearts. Pray for those people today, that God will open a door, an opportunity, for a Christian to share the Lord with them. Pray that those people have a change of heart before it is too late. For we are not guaranteed tomorrow.
Power Verse:
Matthew 5:43-44:
"You have heard the law that says, 'Love your neighbor' and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!"
